Thank you for the post. This movement to prevent domestic abuse in and through the workplace has incredible momentum and community. I am working with a group of dedicated advocates in sharing presentation materials and outreach plans to the business community, either presenting business association meetings or hosting your own seminar. We want to help those who want to do such awareness work and get their feedback on our resources. We view it as an "open-source resource". More information can be found at http://www.peaceatwork.org/dv_campaign.htm or by sending an email to dv_workplace-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Thank you.

Domestic Violence survivors need to know that their employers are behind them. Far to often victims encounter barriers at their place of work and are often frowned upon by their employers when an abuser attacks them at their place of employment. This happens far to often when an abuser shows up at the victims place of employment or causes a disturbance. Protect and support your employees as it is important for the perpetrators to know that the employer will not tolerate domestic abuse.I encourage all employers to take a step back and to realize that the victims will remain victims if the perpetrators are allowed to prevail.
