Gems Amidst the Clutter

Technology is constantly evolving and changing the way we live our daily lives.  Now, with the proliferation of media-sharing websites such as YouTube, people can access information from anywhere in the world faster and easier than ever before.  People from all walks of life are able to create their own information (be it in text, audio, or video format) and share it with the rest of us.  And although, for the most part, this results in a chaotic jumble of mind-numbing rants and videotaped acts of stupidity, there are also many gems to find amidst the clutter.

I recently came across one of these gems. It was produced by the Broward Sheriff's Office in Florida, and I felt that it contained a good amount of information and tips that our audience could use.  The topic is identity theft, and the message focuses on criminals who are targeting gas station customers: Watch the video.

One of the great things about this type of media format is that it can be shared so easily.  So send the link to friends or coworkers who you think might benefit from this message.  By sharing certain types of online resources like this, we are able to spread the message of crime prevention farther and faster than ever before.  In fact, now that we have your attention, check out the current NCPC campaign on identity theft and help us get the word out today.
